Worship

Our regularly weekly schedule consists of the following:

    9:00 a.m. Worship Service
10:30 a.m. Sunday School

Our worship services allow those in attendance to praise God, have time for personal reflection and fellowship with fellow members. A number of special worship services take place throughout the year. These include Scout Recognition Sunday, Choir Recognition Sunday, Harvest Home and Rally Day. Special services and mid-week services are held during Lent, Easter, Pentecost, World Wide Communion, Advent and Christmas.

From June through September, outdoor worship services are held periodically in the pavilion. What a beautiful view from the pavilion as our members and visitors see the Pigeon Hills in the distance and hear and see nature in action during the service.

Check the calendar link for dates and times.

Our Sunday School hour is open for all ages. Both the children’s and adult groups gather for an opening before going to their classes. Our dedicated teachers and helpers provide a wonderful experience to study and understand the Bible. You cannot express the looks on the children’s faces when they walk out of their classes at the end with a newly created craft to take home. Adults have a choice of classes: either a discussion setting or traditional lecture lesson. A mid-summer Sunday School Picnic is held in late July or early August where we gather for an outdoor worship under the pavilion followed by a covered-dish picnic and games.

For those wanting quite, personal meditation, a prayer garden is located near the pavilion area. Here anyone can come and spend time meditating about any problems that might be intruding into their lives or just praise God.

Members of the congregation have started a Prayer Shawl Ministry. Various members are making shawls, lap blankets and scarfs that can be used by anyone. A number of prayers have been delivered to these shawls to bless those who are in need either with sickness or other problems. Anyone wishing a prayer shawl please contact the church. The shawls are free for the taking.
