Our spiritual journey has proceeded through a joyous Christmas season. Our focus now is on Epiphany. The evenings are starting to get a little longer, so lets keep our inner lights shinning. The darkness is slowing fading as we steadily enjoy more daylight.
To lighten up a gray winter day, on Sunday January 11th we enjoyed a Pork, Sauerkraut and Mashed Potato luncheon after our church service.
As we look forward to spring, we will be approaching the Lenten Season. Bethel will be be associated with St. Paul's (Dubs), St. Bartholomew's, and St. David UCC with each church sponsoring a worship service in lent. these services will be held at the sponsoring church on Sunday at 2 PM during Lent. Bethel will be hosting on Sunday March 15th with Adrea Adams presentation of "Mary at the Cross". Andrea is an accomplished author and presenter of women in the bible who met Jesus. Her performances are inspirational by bringing the reality of Jesus's crucifixion to life.
Our Choir with Molly Morgan's leadership is practicing for our Easter service. As always, Molly and the choir's music adds to the Joy of the day.
In February we will be planning a covered dish breakfast after our church service. Another time that there will be a gathering of friends and a festival of spirits. More information to follow.
We continue to support local charities including Hanover Council of Churches, New Hope Ministries , God Meal Barrel and Homewood. All you donations are greatly appreciated to carry on our ministries.
