As we turn our clocks back on November 1st and our daylight becomes shorter and the evenings and nights longer. This is time for all of us to show our inner lights. Lets let our inner lights shine through the darkness so that we can use this time to slow down and enjoy this remarkable season and renew our spirit.
On Sunday November 2nd at 9 AM, Bethel will be observing All Saints Day with Communion as well as Harvest Home. We will continue to collect food donations for Harvest Home until Sunday Nov. 9th. We have selected Hanover Area Council of Churches to receive the items collected.
As we bring our summer activities come to a close, we at Bethel are looking forward to Thanksgiving and the Advent season. Bethel will celebrate the first Sunday of Advent on November 30th. Don't miss our service of December 14th with a cookie social following the service. Our Choir with Molly Morgan's leadership is practicing for our Christmas Eve service. The first part of the service will be dedicated to Christmas Carols and the later part is the candle light service with communion.
In January we will be planning a Winter Social where will be looking for a gathering of friends and a festival of spirits. More information to follow.
We continue to support local charities including Hanover Council of Churches, New Hope Ministries , God Meal Barrel and Homewood. All you donations are greatly appreciated to carry on our ministries.
